'Ten to One' good odds for Spyglass
Company snatches Zack spec script from other parties
Zack developed the script with Michael Aguilar at The Donners' Company. He will serve as the project's exec producer along with Spyglass' president of production John Glickman, who brought the script to Spyglass.
Spyglass paid mid-against-high six figures for Zack's script.
For Spyglass, Glickman will oversee the project along with newly hired veep Meagan Wolpert. Buena Vista Motion Picture Group prexy Nina Jacobson and senior veep Mark Vahradian will oversee for the Mouse House.
Getting its title from the ratio of men to women at a ski resort, story --said to be in the vein of "Caddyshack" -- revolves around a snowboarder with plans to start his own snowboard park. Those plans go awry when his girlfriend returns to town.
Zack wrote "The Perfect Score" along with scribe Marc Hyman for Paramount, produced by Roger Birnbaum and Glickman; and "The Errand Boy" for Spyglass and the Mouse House. He also created "Desert High," a one hour pilot for USA Networks.
Shuler Donner's next producing credit is Fox's "X-Men." Prior to that she produced "Any Given Sunday" and "You've Got Mail." Spyglass recently produced "Shanghai Noon" and is currently prepping the "The Count of Monte Cristo," to be directed by Kevin Reynolds.
