'Ley' leads Ariel noms with 14
'Sexo' nabs 12, including best actor, actress
The political satire pic, which survived an apparent censorship call for its fierce and entertaining attack on Mexico's ruling party, earned noms for best film, best director for Luis Estrada, best leading actor for Damian Alcazar and two for best supporting actor, for Pedro Armendariz and Salvador Sanchez.
"La Ley," which took in a healthy $3.8 million after its February domestic bow and was named best Latin American pic at this year's Sundance festival, also won a nomination, for best original screenplay.

Local box office champ "Sexo, Pudor y Lagrimas" ("Sex, Shame and Tears") was the other prominent name in the list.
Taking in more than $12 million last year, thought to be a record for a Mexican pic, the tale of yuppie love lives received 12 nominations, including best actress for Susana Zabaleta, best actor for Demian Bechir and best first feature for helmer Antonio Serrano.
The awards ceremony will take place on July 24.
