WBIT scores 50% Web surge y-t-y

Site offers Screens to foreign TV buyers

Warner Bros. Intl. Television's Web site (www.wbitv.com) saw more than a 50% year-to-year increase in page visits for the three weeks it hosted its VIP Cyber Screenings, tied to the annual L.A. Screenings. This year, the site received 385,052 page views vs. last year's 245,332.

The L.A. Screenings is a two-week event in which foreign TV buyers have their first chance to view, and perhaps purchase, the new U.S. network primetime shows.

This is the second year in a row WBIT provided its global clients with exclusive previews of television series being offered at the L.A Screenings before they left their home countries via online VIP Cyber Screenings.

Video clips from each new and returning series were available to WBIT clients concurrent with the U.S. networks' announcements of series pickups several weeks ago.

Warner Bros. Intl. Television Distribution licenses more than 39,000 hours of TV shows and feature films dubbed or subtitled in more than 40 languages to broadcasters in more than 175 countries.
