U, Imagine carve 'Ivory' with Blumberg

Roth and Stuber to supervise

Scripter and producer Stuart Blumberg ("Keeping the Faith") has sold comedy spec script "Ebony and Ivory" to Imagine Entertainment and Universal Pictures for $400,000 against $900,000.

High-concept tale revolves around the relationship between a pair of male friends, one black and one white, who wind up switching identities.

Blumberg wrote and acted in Disney's "Keeping the Faith." He is also attached to re-write Ted Griffin's comedy "Beached" for 20th Century Fox and will produce the drama "Mother Brooklyn" for New Line Cinema with "Keeping the Faith" star, director and former Yale roommate Edward Norton.

Imagine VP Kim Roth and Universal exec VP of production Scott Stuber will supervise. Blumberg was repped in the deal by Endeavor and attorney Robert Offer of Bloom, Hergott, Cook, Diemer & Klein.
