Paleau will be based at Discovery's worldwide headquarters in Bethesda, Md.
Reporting to Chris Hawes, senior VP production for DNI, Paleau will work closely with Discovery's production teams around the globe to create programming that resonates with diverse audiences. He will play a strategic role in DNI's customization process, working with producers at the development stage to create content with local focus and global appeal.
"Paleau has a well-earned reputation at Discovery and in the industry for producing engaging programs that bring in the ratings and win awards," DNI senior VP Rick Rodriquez said.
Paleau, a veteran producer, joined Discovery in 1995 and most recently was exec producer for Discovery Channel.
