UA welcomes Revolution

Producers ink 2-year first-look deal

Michael Winterbottom and Andrew Eaton's Revolution Films is poised to sign a two-year first-look deal with United Artists Films.

Revolution's current overall deal with Universal, which U inherited from Polygram Filmed Entertainment, is about to end.

Universal will keep one Revolution project — the Nick Hornby script "Fast Forward" — but the rest are likely to transfer to UA. These include the Garrison Keillor novel "Wobegon Boy," the Frank Cottrell Boyce screenplay "24 Hour Party People" and David Sherwin's script "Crusaders."

Revolution is currently producing Winterbottom's "Kingdom Come" for UA and Pathe Pictures.
