Luncheoners learn lineup

During Tuesday’s Carousel of Hope Ball kickoff luncheon, Barbara Davis said that what she’d learned from event producer George Schlatter is, “the guests want to see each other, they only want to hear two songs, and they want to be home in time for the 11 o’clock news.”

What guests learned from Davis is: Ricky Martin will head the Oct. 28th event; Jay Leno will act as emcee; Sidney Poitier will speak; David Foster will act as musical director; and Guess? and Toys “R” Us will do the underwriting.

Among those hearing this were Lili Fini Zanuck, Suzanne DePasse, Susan Dolgen, Wanda McDaniel, Candy Spelling, Linda Foster, Dana Davis, Selma Archerd, Alana Stewart, Joanna Poitier, Angela Janklow and Sandra Rapke.
