Samaha gala goes from 'low maintenance to high maintenance'
Certainly the Lebanese-born producer has made the move from Hollywood’s low church to high church: straight-to-video actioners to large-budget star vehicles.
And that rise in status is surely something to celebrate, which Samaha did with a party Thursday at the Sunset Room (which he co-owns) and a guest list that included Mark Canton, Kevin Costner, Cuba Gooding Jr., Goldie Hawn, Rick James, Kevin Misher, Joe Roth, Kevin Spacey, Steven Seagal, Patrick Swayze and Denzel Washington.
After dinner in the Sunset Room’s outdoor patio, Samaha was nestled into a corner at the bar where he could watch the door and signal who got past the bodyguard into the VIP area. "I’ve got my fingers crossed," said Samaha about his recent career ascent. "I’m trying not to be excited and be steady."
