AFMA's Shields logs on to Tivix

Senior exec picked for int'l experience

HOLLYWOOD -- Bill Shields, chairman of the American Film Market Assn., has joined the board of advisers for Tivix, a global online programming resource, as senior executive.

Shields, who has held top international industry posts with New World, Trans Atlantic Entertainment and ACNielsen, joins several well-known investors and advisers including former CBS Intl. prexy Rainer Siek.

Shields has served as chairman of AFMA since 1997.

"We are recruiting people who have deep experience in the international marketplace. Bill has a truly global perspective on the marketplace, having been involved with AFMA issues in Russia, China, Mexico, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam," Eric Rennagel, president and CEO of Tivix, said in a statement.
