Dillon, Muniz and Harry join 'Wild' ensemble

Thesps added to Kalvert-helmed late-'50s drama

Matt Dillon, Frankie Muniz and Deborah Harry have joined the ensemble cast of “Deuces Wild,” directed by Scott Kalvert (“The Basketball Diaries”). United Artists will release the pic, exec produced by Martin Scorsese.

Principal photography begins today in Los Angeles. Producers are Unity Prods.’ Michael Cerenzie, Willi Baer, Paul Kimatian and Fred Caruso; Robert Rothbard is the line producer.

Dillon, Muniz and Harry join Stephen Dorff, Brad Renfro, Fairuza Balk, Vincent Pastore, Norman Reedus and Balthazar Getty in the drama, set in Brooklyn in 1958.

Penned by Kimatian and Chris Gambale from a story by Kimatian, “Deuces” centers on a group of young people who inhabit the heart of Brooklyn during the year that their beloved Dodgers deserted them and moved to Los Angeles. As the youngsters confront a new era of guns, drugs and wiseguys, they also struggle to break free from their home turf.

Musicvid director-turned feature helmer Kalvert’s debut film, “The Basketball Diaries,” starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg.

Dillon’s credits include “There’s Something About Mary,” “Wild Things,” “To Die For” and “The Flamingo Kid.” Muniz is starring in the Fox TV series “Malcolm in the Middle,” and has co-starred in “My Dog Skip,” “Lost & Found” and “It Had to Be You.” Harry, a composer and performer in the group Blondie, has appeared in such films as “Copland” and “Joe’s Day.”

Balk starred opposite Adam Sandler in “The Waterboy” and with Edward Norton in “American History X.”

Dillon is repped by ICM and AMG, Muniz by Abrams Artists and Harry by Innovative Artists and Untitled Entertainment.
