Michael, Finney ink Dream deal
Pact to focus on new talent
"Weve agreed to this partnership specifically to focus on new, young talent with commercial material," said Ginsberg.
MFP and Dream initially teamed for writer-director Michael Davis "100 Girls," now in post-production. The collegiate comedy stars "Roswell" regular Katherine Heigl, Marissa Ribisi ("Pleasantville") and "Jack and Jill" regular Jaime Pressly.
The first pic under the new pact will be "The Kinsey Report," another project helmed and scripted by Davis. The biopic about sex researcher Alfred Kinsey will be exec produced by the writing team of Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, whove co-penned features including "Ed Wood," "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and "Man on the Moon." The filmmakers are currently assembling a cast.
Second film on the production slate is "Capital Kids," a comedy about four kids running the White House for a day. Michael Addis, who wrote and helmed the indie "Goodbye Sunrise," is attached to direct the screenplay by novice Stephen Kogon.
The third project under the new agreement has yet to be determined.
