Disney sets 'Double' cast

Mouse pushes for actioner lensing

Disney is doing double time to get "Double Take" into production: The Mouse House has finished casting the African American action comedy, to be helmed by George Gallo ("29th Street"). The film's slated for an April 28 start date in Los Angeles.

Joining leads Eddie Griffin ("Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo") and Orlando Jones ("Liberty Heights") are Gary Grubbs, Daniel Roebuck, Andrea Navedo, Shawn Elliott, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Briscoe and Edward Herrmann.

Producers are David Permut and Brett Ratner. Executive producers are Barry Bernardi and 3 Arts Entertainment's Michael Rotenberg. Film is a co-production between Permut Presentations and Ratner's Rat Entertainment.

Pic centers on a man on the lam who takes another man's passport only to find himself stuck with the identity of a street hustler more wanted than he is.

Co-presidents Nina Jacobson and Todd Garner, along with senior veep of production Mark Vahradian, are overseeing for the Mouse House.

Gallo is repped by Todd Feldman at ICM along with attorney Kevin Marx at Gang, Tyre, Ramer and Brown.
