Fox Family taps Nichols

Exec to o'see public relations, publicity campaigns

On the eve of Fox Family Worldwide's kids upfront presentation, Nicole Nichols has been upped to senior vice president of corporate communications and publicity.

Nichols will oversee all public relations and publicity campaigns for Fox Kids Network, Fox Family Channel and digital outlets boyzChannel and girlzChannel. She'll also serve as chief spokeswoman for the company's exec and all corporate news.

Nichols replaces Barry Stagg, who left the company in November. She will report to Fox Family Channels/Fox Kids Network CEO Rich Cronin, who made the announcement Monday.

"Nicole has done a tremendous job in the publicity arena for all four channels," Cronin said. "This promotion to head of the department recognizes her strategic contributions, her leadership skills and her consistent grace under pressure."

Nichols was previously vice president of publicity for Fox Kids and Fox Family daytime, overseeing press campaigns and working closely with execs on affil meetings, upfront presentations and the television critics press tour.

Before that, she was director of corporate public relations at Fox Broadcasting. Nichols was also director of publicity at Saban Entertainment, where she helped with the launch of the phenom "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers."

Nichols also did a stint at praisery Bender, Goldman & Helper.
