Tracey takes on skirts

Ullman launches www.purpleskirt.com

Guests strolled down the purple carpet Thursday night to attend Tracey Ullman's launch party for her online boutique -- www.purpleskirt.com.

Ullman, who just finished working on the Woody Allen project, took some time off from her show "Tracey Takes On," to focus on the site. "My office now has racks of clothes instead of scripts," she said.

Ullman, along with partners, producer Stephanie Cone and fashion stylist Jeannine Braden hosted the party at Smashbox Studios, which featured Web stations where guests could log on to the new site as well as a fashion show with Purple Skirt employees modeling the clothing. The Web site didn't appear to favor purple over other colored skirts. There was just one purple skirt -- pricetag $128.

Also on hand were designers William B. and Trina Turk; thesps Jennifer Tilly, Kelly Rutherford and Bruno Campos; and Fox topper Doug Herzog.

The Middle-East International Film Festival kicks off this fall.
