The TV series nod went to "The Sopranos" mixers Adam Sawelson, Todd Orr, Ron Evans and Matthew Price, while Bob Wright was honored in the Television Variety category for his work on "Ray Charles in Concert." Best made-for went to "Joan of Arc (Part 2)" mixers Lou Solakofski, Orest Sushko and Urmas Rosin.

Other CAS festivities included a tribute to Buzz Knudson, re-recording mixer and former prexy of Todd-AO Studios. On hand to salute Knudson were Warren Beatty, helmer William Friedkin and emcee John Landis.
