BERLIN -- German video distributor Pro-Fun Media is expanding its operations to include theatrical releases, forming a strategic partnership with Berlin distrib GM Films.
GM Films chief Michael Hoefner will head the new operation, which plans to bring out some four films this year, including Thom Fitzgerald's "Beefcake" and Australian pic "Head On" from Ana Kokkinos.
Distrib will carry mostly arthouse and gay and lesbian pics. GM Films is bringing its catalog of independent titles into the company.
