Microcast opens L.A. office

Ex-ICM agent Klein named VP

New York-based Microcast, a provider of media-related Internet video streaming services, has opened a new Los Angeles office and tapped former ICM agent Lance Klein VP, West Coast.

Klein, who had been a television packaging agent at ICM, will oversee Microcast's efforts in forming partnerships with local programming and distribution companies.

"The opening of the Los Angeles office gives us a strong presence in the world's entertainment capital," said Roby Burke, Microcast's exec VP of programming. "Lance's superb leadership skills and his knowledge and relationships with the Hollywood community will prove critical to entrenching Microcast as the leader in enabling content owners to migrate to the burgeoning realm of Internet broadcasting."

In addition to streaming video content, Microcast delivers on-demand archived video programming.
