Par TV stages Horne drama VP

Exec to o'see daily development

Former Warner Bros. TV exec Andy Horne has been tapped veepee of drama development for Paramount Network Television.

Horne will oversee day-to-day progress of the studio's drama scripts and pilots, reporting to Par's senior veepee of drama Kathy Lingg, who said she was "thrilled to welcome" Horne to Paramount.

"The vast television experience he has accumulated throughout his career will be an asset to our drama development department," Lingg said.

Before signing on at Par, Horne was veep of television for Babyface's Edmonds Entertainment, overseeing comedy and drama development at the company. At Edmonds, Horne helped turn the feature pic "Soul Food" into a weekly skein now being produced by Par for Showtime.

Horne was veep of current programs for WBTV from 1996 until 1998; he served as a manager in the department for another two years. Among the skeins he supervised production of were "Family Matters," "Sisters," "La Femme Nikita" and "Living Single."

On the feature side, Horne was a co-producer of New Line Cinema's "Blade."
