Advanced, MGM to co-finance 'World'

Teen comedy gets funding by German film co.

BERLIN -- German film player Advanced Medien announced Friday it has committed to co-finance MGM's teen comedy "Ghost World."

"We are working on various co-financing pacts with U.S. studios and are already in advanced talks," said Advanced CEO Christoph Montagu.

Active in licensing, production and distribution, Advanced went public in August last year. The company has co-financing deals in place with U.S. producer Chuck Gordon and Britain's Granada Film.
