LONDON -- Producer Ed Pressman has signed Brit director Simon Hunter to a two-pic deal, starting with the $30 million sci-fi thriller "Mutant Chronicles."
Hunter made his debut with the low-budget "Lighthouse," which will be released this spring in the U.S. through Stratosphere Entertainment.
"Mutant Chronicles," written by Philip Eisner and Stuart Hazeldine, concerns an unlikely team of heroes who come together to save humanity from aliens. It starts shooting this fall.
Hunter was repped in the deal by Luc Roeg and Himesh Kar at the William Morris Agency.
