Film and TV fund prexy, CEO Haug ankling post

Exec to head up Valley Children's Healthcare System

William Haug has ankled his post as prexy and CEO of the Motion Picture and Television Fund. He will instead head up the Valley Children's Healthcare System in Madera.

After leading the MPTF (a home to aging and disabled entertainment professionals) for 11 years, Haug is switching gears because "the time has arrived to make a personal and professional change -- my wife and I will be relocating to an area that we believe is more conducive to our lifestyle."

'A great leader'

But MPTF board of directors chair Roger Davis said Haug will be greatly missed. "Bill has been a great leader," he said. "We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him well in his new endeavor."

During Haug's tenure, MPTF grew to include five health centers, an expanded retirement and inpatient facility and the Samuel Goldwyn Foundation Children's Center.

A search for Haug's successor is under way.
