NBC reached the four-year milestone Nov. 29-Dec. 3 with an average 5.2 rating, 20 share in households (up 2% vs. last year), giving it a wide lead over second-place "Good Morning America" (3.7/15, up 32%) and CBS' fledgling "The Early Show" (2.4/9, down 40%).
"Today" has also led in total viewers for the last 208 weeks and in adults 18-49 for 269 straight weeks.
Each household rating point represents an estimated 1 million homes, or 1% of the country's TV households. The share is also a percentage, but measured against only the homes in which TV is being watched during the timeslot involved.
