Mary Kay Bergman

Mary Kay Bergman, a versatile voiceover artist who uttered the lines of animated characters in "Beauty and the Beast," "Hercules" and "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut," died Nov. 11 at her home in Los Angeles. Bergman, 38, committed suicide.

Along with voicing all but one of the female characters on the "South Park" TV series, Bergman was the "official" voice of Disney's Snow White character and played various roles in this year's animated feature "The Iron Giant."

She voiced Daphne Blake in "Scooby Doo on Zombie Island" (1998) and "Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost" (1999), and Batgirl/Barbara Gordon in "Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero" (1998).

Additionally, Bergman did voiceovers for numerous videogames including "Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers" (1994), "The Curse of Monkey Island" (1997), "King's Quest VII: Mask of Eternity" (1998) and "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace" (1999).

She is survived by her husband, Dino, and her mother, Patricia.
