Time Warner taps Bogart exec VP, general counsel
Exec to replace retiring biz law vet Haje
Bogart replaces Peter Haje, who will retire after nine years as Time Warner's general counsel and nearly 40 years as one of the media and entertainment company's principal lawyers. He will continue in a part-time advisory role.
Bogart, 34, will report to Time Warner president Richard Parsons. He joined the company in March 1998 as general counsel. Prior to that he served as Time Warner's main outside litigation counsel at New York firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he represented the company in its merger with Turner Broadcasting and litigation involving its cable operations.
In other moves, Andra Sanders and Edward Weiss have each been appointed to the position of veep and associate general counsel.
