Kennedy is named VP Fox B'cast

Exec to oversee creative

Charles Kennedy has been named veep of programming at the Fox Broadcasting Co.

In his new post, Kennedy will oversee the creative administration of the all the net's current shows.

Reporting to Fox programming exec VP David Nevins, Kennedy will also help develop future Fox telepics and ease the company's planned transition to the year-round development of original series.

"Through his years of direct interaction with viewers in focus groups and other marketing studies, Charles brings a wealth of experience in studying and understanding audience viewing habits to the programming department," said Nevins.

Most recently, Kennedy worked as VP of program and market research at Fox, testing and gathering aud feedback for all Fox pilots, series and on-air promotional campaigns. He first teamed with the net in 1989 as manager of program research.

In other Fox moves, Mindy Hahn has been tapped VP of program and market research, filling the post vacated by Kennedy. Reporting to senior veep of the net's research division Giles Lundberg, Hahn will now provide viewer info to the net's programming and scheduling departments.

Hahn was most recently VP of strategic planning and research at cabler FX. Previous broadcasting stints for Hahn include working in the research divisions of the Family Channel, E! Entertainment Television and the Discovery Channel.
