Roth mulling 'Numbers'

Thesp may join Travolta, Kudrow in Ephron-helmed pic

Tim Roth is in negotiations to join the cast of the Paramount/DreamWorks co-production "Numbers," for director Nora Ephron.

Adam Resnick penned the comedy about a regular Joe who finds himself embroiled in a lottery scam. John Travolta is set to star; "Friends" co-star Lisa Kudrow has been in talks to join.

Andrew Lazar, Jonathan Krane, Sean Daniel and Ephron are producing.

Roth, whose credits include "Pulp Fiction" and "Everyone Says I Love You," just completed lensing on Roland Joffe's "Vatel" opposite Uma Thurman and Gerard Depardieu.

The actor recently made his directing debut on "The War Zone," which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival. The multihyphenate will next be seen starring in Giuseppe Tornatore's "The Legend of 1900," which Fine Line will release later this month. "War Zone" opens in theaters Dec. 10.

Roth is repped by IFA Talent Agency.
