U.S.' Team hires Lentz as Teutonic division chief

Exec to o'see first U.S. co. to be listed on Neuer Markt

By ED MEZA

BERLIN -- U.S.-based Team Communications has tapped Sebastian Lentz, the former chief exec of Pearson-Fremantle, to head its German subsidiary, Team Entertainment Deutschland.

Lentz, who was also programming director at German commercial web SAT.1 before moving to Pearson last year, said he plans to transform Team into a key player in Germany. The German subsidiary is set to become the first U.S.-owned company to be listed on Frankfurt's Neuer Markt stock index when it goes public next year.

The TV production outfit and license broker owns rights to TV series and films such as "Total Recall 2070," set to premiere locally on commercial broadcaster ProSieben, and Discovery Channel's "Call of the Wild."
