'Tom Green' leaving N.Y. for home in H'wood

MTV shocker, cable show switching coasts

That man running around in his underwear gargling mustard on Hollywood Boulevard may not be your typical Angeleno.

MTV staple Tom Green is moving production of his popular cable show from Gotham to Los Angeles after MTV ordered another eight segs of shockshow "The Tom Green Show," with new episodes slated to air from Hollywood on Oct. 21. "Green" has been one of MTV's stronger performers since the show's debut in March.

Sources said that Green, who inked a feature film pact with Touchstone Pictures in August and recently co-starred in Paramount's "Superstar," wanted to be closer to Hollywood and his WMA agents. In addition, show producer John Miller had long been based in L.A. and reportedly wished to return to the West Coast.

In the new episodes, regular side-kick Glenn Humplik will be swapped for an unnamed replacement.

Green first drew recognition on a Canadian public-access station for his shock video packages, such as eating roadkill or painting "slutmobile" on his parents' car.
