Rupert makes sr. VP at WB

Consumer products sales exec expands duties

Dave Rupert has been upped to VP, U.S. sales for Warner Bros. consumer products, the studio announced Thursday.

Rupert, who will continue to report to Karen McTier, the division's North American sales senior VP, will expand his responsibilities to include gifts, housewares, stationery, back-to-school and collectibles.

"Dave has done an excellent job of building our brands and properties in today's challenging and competitive retail environment," said McTier.

Rupert joined WB Consumer products in 1995 as a senior account executive. He has held previous slots at Montgomery Ward and the May Co.

With over 3,700 licensees, the WB division licenses the rights to names, likenesses and logos for icons including Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Batman, and "The Wizard of Oz."
