EVentures U.K. names Noble CEO

Biz to invest $50 mil in Internet startups

LONDON -- Diana Noble has been appointed chief executive of eVentures U.K., which is backed by Softbank and News Corp.'s epartners.

Noble was previously a partner in Schroder Ventures.

The aim of eVentures is to introduce U.S. Internet companies to new markets in the U.K., Australasia and India. It also has a fund of $50 million to invest in Internet startups.

Its first initiatives will be to launch E-Loan Inc. and Buy.com in the U.K.
