Danish thesp Ulrich Thomsen ("The Celebration") has joined Sean Penn, Elizabeth Hurley, Sarah Polley, Catherine McCormack and Vinessa Shaw in Col's "The Weight of Water" from director Kathryn Bigelow.
Thomsen, who appeared in the Oscar-winning short "Election Night," will next be seen in MGM's Bond pic "The World Is Not Enough" alongside Pierce Brosnan and Denise Richards. "The Celebration" took home the Cannes Jury Prize at this year's fest and earned Thomsen the best actor award at the European Film Awards. Thomsen is repped by Michael Lazo of Paradigm.

Beacon's "Thirteen Days" has added Dylan Baker to its cast. Baker will portray Robert McNamara in the recounting of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Baker, who earned a best actor nod at the IFP Gotham Awards for his turn in Todd Solondz's "Happiness," will next be seen in Par's "Random Hearts," starring Harrison Ford and Kristin Scott Thomas, and New Line's "The Cell" with Jennifer Lopez and Vince Vaughn. He has previously appeared in "Disclosure" and Woody Allen's "Celebrity." Baker is repped by Michael Lazo and Sarah Fargo of Paradigm.

Peter Greene will join Gary Oldman and Skeet Ulrich in writer-director David Seltzer' "nasazi Moon."Harvey Kahn and Avi Lerner produce, and lensing is skedded to begin this month in Salt Lake City. Greene is currently onscreen in the Martin Lawrence comedy "Blue Streak" and has appeared in "The Usual Suspects," "Pulp Fiction" and "Permanent Midnight." The actor is repped by Baumgarten/Prophet Entertainment and Abrams Artists Agency.

Vera Farmiga will join Richard Gere and Winona Ryder in Lakeshore Entertainment's "Autumn in New York" for director Joan Chen.
Farmiga, who appeared in last year's "Return to Paradise" starring Vince Vaughn, has just completed lensing John Herzfeld's "Fifteen Minutes" opposite Robert DeNiro and Ed Burns. She is repped by Innovative Artists.

Brittany Daniel has become the newest resident of "Dawson's Creek." As a senior at Capeside High, her chance meeting with the angst-ridden Dawson leads to a more complicated relationship. Daniel appeared in the series season premiere, which aired this week on the WB.
The actress, who starred in Saban's syndie skein "Sweet Valley High," has signed on as a recurring character with the teen sudser for a nine episode arc. She also recently completed lensing the indie "Sonic Blast" with Mel Harris and Ice T. Daniel's "Dawson's" deal was brokered by Vanessa Alexander of Handprint Entertainment and Carl Rumbaugh at APA.

Josh Marchette has been added to the cast of David Mamet's "State and Maine" starring Alec Baldwin, Sarah Jessica Parker and William H. Macy.
Marchette's previous film credits include Lions Gate's "Southie" with Rose McGowan, and Phaedra Cinema's "Floating" opposite Norman Reedus. He is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates.

Gretchen Egolf has landed a series regular role on CBS' "Martial Law." The thesp will appear next in Anthony Minghella's upcoming "The Talented Mr. Ripley" starring Matt Damon. She is repped by Scott Wexler and Lisa Gallant of ICM.
