During the past year, Williams was instrumental in supporting the launch of the company's online auction site (www.newline.auction.com). She also helped negotiate the company's equity stake and distribution arrangement with Cary Woods' Independent Pictures.
Independent connection
She continues to track, manage and serve as a business liaison between Independent Pictures and Fine Line/New Line.
Williams also has been involved in evaluating the mini-major's film-related investments and co-financing arrangements. She will continue to explore new business opportunities for New Line and provide strategic business support for the company's core businesses.
Williams' work this year also included working behind the scenes to help negotiate deals for films "Tumbleweeds," "Dancer in the Dark" and "State of Mind."

Williams has served as veep of business development since 1997. Prior to joining New Line in 1993, she was business consultant and production associate at Claypoint Prods., a producer of documentaries for TV, and a financial analyst at James D. Wolfensohn Inc. and Drexel Burnham Lambert -- both investment banks.
