Helmer Ratner will sign on with CAA; Stiles styles ICM

After weeks of flirtations with several suitors, "Rush Hour" helmer Brett Ratner has settled down with Creative Artists Agency, where he'll be repped by Richard Lovett and Michael Gruber.

Ratner had been represented by the William Morris Agency.

While CAA confirmed the signing of Ratner, reps at both his old percentery and at least one other said that the helmer hadn't told them that he had signed with CAA. Although WMA declined to comment on the record, insiders said that newly installed head of worldwide motion pictures, David Wirtschafter, recently met with Ratner in an attempt to keep him at the agency.

Though he might have trouble delivering bad news, Ratner -- who cut his teeth helming musicvids before making a name for himself with his breakout feature "Money Talks" in 1997 -- is viewed as a significant catch for any percentery. After the huge box office success of his follow-up "Rush Hour," Ratner has been able to cherry-pick his future projects, for which he will collect mid-seven-figure fees. Ratner's next pic will be the Nicolas Cage-starrer "Family Man" for Beacon and Universal.
