Fast-growing radio broadcaster Entercom Communications said it has filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission to offer 9.5 million shares and $150 million worth of equity securities to finance its purchase of 46 radio stations from Sinclair Broadcasting. Last month, Entercom finalized an agreement to purchase the stations as well as 300,000 shares of USA Digital Radio from Sinclair for $824.5 million.

Seagram Co. has filed a shelf registration with the Securities & Exchange Commission to sell $1.52 billion worth of equity and debt securities, including preferred shares, debt and warrants. Seagram plans to use proceeds from any sale of securities for general purposes, which may include repayment of debt, capital spending or acquisitions. A shelf registration lets a company sell securities whenever conditions are favorable, or whenever it wants to, for up to two years without having to go through the complete registration process again.
