Frog net seeing more 'Stars'

Junger, Lemon to serve as exec producers

NEW YORK -- The WB Network's summer sitcom "Movie Stars" has snagged a midseason commitment from the web, as well as a new producer.

Frog net has ordered 13 episodes of the Castle Rock-produced laffer as a backup for the upcoming season. Execs believe the show could be a suitable companion for "Zoe Bean," which is also set to return midseason.

As part of the pickup, veteran producer Gil Junger ("Ellen") and creator Wayne Lemon will now serve as exec producers of the series. Current showrunners Jonathan Axelrod and James Widdoes will serve as consultants.

"Movie Stars" features Harry Hamlin and Jennifer Grant as a Hollywood power couple with an unruly family.

Series has been airing twice weekly during the summer, on Sunday and Monday nights.
