Carlton will take ad venture to U.S.

LONDON -- Carlton Communications, parent of Technicolor, has announced plans to unspool its cinema advertising business in the United States.

Carlton Screen Advertising, which dominates the U.K. market, will open a New York office in October. It will also rebrand itself as Technicolor Entertainment.

The Stateside venture will sell film theater advertising on a national basis.
