Doug Davison has won his VP stripes at Andrew Lazar's Mad Chance Prods.
The production exec will continue to be responsible for shepherding the Warner Bros.-based moniker's development slate as well as developing new material.
Davison started his Hollywood career at Mad Chance three years ago as Lazar's assistant and subsequently became director of development.
He has been responsible for developing WB projects such as "Manhigh," written by Ken Hixon, with Barry Levinson attached to direct, and "Get Smart," written by Nick Marine.
Davison is also overseeing the comedy "Numbers," written by Adam Resnick, which is set up at Paramount Pictures.
Davison works with Lazar's co-producer Jody Hedien and company's director of creative affairs Far Shariat.
Lazar produced the upcoming pics "The Astronaut's Wife," starring Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron, which New Line Cinema releases in the U.S. on Aug. 27, and the indie black comedy "Panic," starring William H. Macy and Neve Campbell.
At Warner Bros., Mad Chance and Clint Eastwood are co-producing Eastwood's next picture, "Space Cowboys." Lazar's other credits include "Assassins" and "Bound."
