McConaughey exits CAA

Thesp heads to AMG due to 'no sharing' policy

Matthew McConaughey has broken ranks with Creative Artists Agency and will head to Artists Management Group, where he will be represented by his longtime pal and former producing partner in j.k. livin', Todd "Gus" Gustawes.

Gustawes himself only joined AMG in March, following the expiration of j.k. livin's production deal at Warner Bros.

At the time, it was understood that McConaughey would remain with CAA and his manager, Beth Holden.

However, according to sources, McConaughey wanted to be managed by Gustawes and represented by CAA. Given its position of "no sharing," CAA rejected this proposal.

McConaughey starred last year in Universal's "EDtv." He next appears in the same studio's "U-571."
