Carrey throws 'Limpet' back

WB, producers could turn to Williams, Myers

Shedding one project from his plate of future pics, Jim Carrey has officially passed on Warner Bros.' "Incredible Mr. Limpet." The studio and producers Barry Levinson, Paula Weinstein and Bill Gerber now will likely turn to Robin Williams or Mike Myers to play the lead role of a mild-mannered man who falls into the ocean and turns into a fish.

Carrey currently is starring in the Farrelly Bros.' "Me, Myself and Irene" for Fox and will follow that with Universal/Imagine's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" under Ron Howard's helm this fall.

Following "Grinch," Carrey has an open schedule, although several projects are being developed for the star, including "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" at New Line and "God of Cookery" at Fox.
