UPN taps Ungerman for biz

Exec succeeds Britton as sr. VP, business affairs

NEW YORK -- Nicole Ungerman will assume the post of senior VP of business affairs at UPN, the netlet announced Thursday. She succeeds Layne Britton, who ankled UPN earlier this year. The promotion had been expected (Daily Variety, June 21).

Ungerman will report to UPN chief operating officer Adam Ware.As senior veep, Ungerman will work on talent and property negotiations and acquisitions in addition to her involvement in overall business strategy.

Ungerman joins UPN from NBC, where most recently she was VP of business affairs. Prior to that, she worked as an entertainment attorney at Toronto-based Goodman & Goodman.
