Matheny upped by WB

Consumer division finds exec VP, int'l licensing

Warner Bros. has upped Mark Matheny to executive vice president, international licensing and studio stores franchise operations, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

Matheny will remain in charge of all international licensing business, as well as franchise relations and new business development for the international WB Studio Stores.

In addition, WB has broadened the exec's responsibilities to encompass overseeing worldwide publishing, Kids' WB! music and interactive entertainment.

He will continue to report to George Jones, president of worldwide licensing and WB Studio Stores.

WB Consumer Products is a unit of Time Warner, encompassing divisions including Warner Bros. Studio Stores, and licensing characters such as Batman, Superman, Scooby Doo and various figures from "The Wizard of Oz."
