Man taps Skalski for pics
VP at Good Machine ankles to create film division
Skalski started at Good Machine in 1992, when the year-old company was a four-person operation working out of a Chelsea warehouse. By 1994, she was a partner in the company.
She was integral to the development of Bart Freundlich's "The Myth of Fingerprints," John O'Hagan's "Wonderland," Edward Burns' "The Brothers McMullen" and Jim Fall's forthcoming Fine Line release "Trick."
She began her relationship with Hungry Man earlier this year while developing "Finger Rocks" for Good Machine. Bryan Buckley, one of the three commercial directors who founded Hungry Man last year, wrote the romantic comedy and will be directing the pic, now casting.
"I'm looking forward to finding and developing material that will be appropriate for all the great commercial directors the company works with as well as finding and attracting new talent," said Skalski.
In its first year, Hungry Man, whose partners include Hank Perlman and Stephen Orent, has created award-winning commercials for Etrade.com and Monster.com.
