The Intl. Documentary Assn. (IDA) has issued a call for entries in the 1999 Distinguished Documentary Achievement Awards competition. Presentations will be made at the 15th annual awards gala Oct. 29 and winning entries will be screened at IDA's annual DocuFest on Oct. 30.

Documentary nominees will be selected in five categories: features, shorts, limited series of up to 12 episodes, strand (a single program title in an ongoing series) and television magazine segment. Submissions must be postmarked by July 15. IDA is also accepting entries for the 1999 David L. Wolper student docu-mentary achievement award, honoring docu production at the university level.

Eastman Kodak has been the sole sponsor of the IDA Distinguished Documentary Achievement Awards since their inception in 1984.
