Discovery taps Quattrone sr. VP

Exec to head Health Media

NEW YORK -- Discovery Communications Inc. has named former PBS programming topper Kathy Quattrone to the post of senior VP, programming for DCI's new Discovery Health Media subsidiary.

Quattrone will serve as chief editorial exec for Discovery Health Media, which plans to launch an analog basic cable channel and an Internet business.

DCI has committed at least $330 million to Discovery Health.
