Fox's Herzog looks for No. 2

Fox Broadcasting Co.'s new entertainment president Doug Herzog is searching for a new No. 2 to replace exec VP Rob Dwek, who was hired during the last regime led by Peter Roth and who is expected to depart at the end of the season.

Fox has had talks with several people, but insiders say one top candidate is former Columbia drama exec Jeff Kline, who currently exec produces several Saturday morning animated series for Col. Kline also had a deal to produce primetime shows at 20th Century Fox TV. Herzog had approached Gail Berman for the No. 2 job right after he joined the network, but the president of Regency TV is happy in her current position.
