Film fest to fete Donen, Steiger

Maltin to emcee gala

MIAMI -- Stanley Donen and Rod Steiger will be honored for lifetime achievement in directing and acting, respectively, at the fourth Palm Beach Intl. Film Festival, which runs April 9-18.

Film critic Leonard Maltin is scheduled to emcee the salute to Donen and Steiger at a black tie gala on April 10.

A slated 54 features from more than 20 countries will unspool during the event, including the closing-night world preem of Mike Kirton's "The Last Marshall," starring Scott Glenn. Opening-night films include Tony Bui's "Three Seasons," with Harvey Keitel; Niv Fichman's "The Red Violin"; and Gilles MacKinnon's Kate Winslet starrer "Hideous Kinky."
