DBI taps Solganick for media director
Firm prefers biz experts
Lee Rudnick, president of DBI Media, says the hiring of Solganick reinforces his philosophy of going after media experts -- with experience in the businesses that will use DBI to find candidates for vacant jobs -- rather than human-resources professionals. DBI collected more than $1 million in job-placement fees since it opened for business a year ago.
Most recently, Solganick, 45, was broadcast-group manager for Horizon Media Inc., supervising spot buying on TV stations, cable systems and radio stations for advertisers such as Mobil oil, CNBC and A&E.
