Etheridge to host 'Happen' on Lifetime

Series focus on tales of fate

Lifetime has greenlit production on a one-hour pilot, tentatively titled "How Could It Happen," hosted by rock singer Melissa Etheridge.

The reality-based series will feature true stories from women who have encountered twists of fate that have changed their lives. Triage Entertainment will produce the show with Viacom Prods. Triage previously produced Lifetime's "Next Door With Katie Brown."

Currently shooting in Los Angeles, "How Could It Happen" will be told through stylized re-enactments and accompanied by interviews with the actual story participants.

Etheridge, a two-time Grammy Award winner, will act as a storyteller and weave the tales together.

Executive producers on the show are Stephen Kroopnick and Stu Schreiberg. Jim Lindsay is the producer.
