Made-for, which began lensing this week in Los Angeles, is the first original "Quinn" production since the Eye shuttered production on the series in 1998. Seymour vocally expressed her disappointment following the web's decision to cancel "Quinn" after six seasons, but was equally careful during media interviews to indicate her willingness to reprise her role as frontier doc Mike Quinn.
While CBS has only committed to one pic, sources say the net is willing to go forward with a series of "Quinn" telepics should the first one score sufficiently boffo ratings. The "Quinn" series was a surprise midseason hit for CBS when it bowed in January 1993, and continued to deliver solid ratings for the net through much of its run.
Many of the original "Quinn" cast and crew, including co-star Joe Lando, are returning for the movie. Plot of the pic has Mike and Sully (Lando) searching for their kidnapped 4-year-old daughter.
Beth Sullivan, Seymour and James Keach are exec producing and John Liberti is producing the pic, which is from CBS Prods. and the Sullivan Company. Keach is directing from a script by former "Quinn" staff writer Josef Anderson.
