In her new role, Mazzaferri will oversee Tribune's strategic planning activities and partnership investments. Additionally, she will continue working on acquisition and development projects for the group.
Mazzaferri joined Tribune in 1996 as director of the Renaissance TV station group transition. Prior to that she had been corporate controller for Weigel Broadcasting, and has held several positions with Pricewaterhouse.

Bill Nivens has joined Artisan Home Entertainment at VP, operations.
In his new position, Nivens will be responsible for managing the operational functions for the home entertainment division's VHS & DVD businesses, including customer service, inventory management, product duplication, manufacturing contracts and system implementation.
Nivens joins Artisan from Kwikset, where he served as manager of logistics. Prior to that he held several executive positions during his 20 years at Allergan.

Steven J. Pena has joined Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner as counsel to the firm. Pena will specialize in new media practice and head the entertainment law group.
Previously, Pena served as general counsel for Warner Bros. Online and prior to that was VP of legal affairs at 20th Century Fox.

Lee Hunt Associates has appointed Jeff Bitsack as creative director of advertising and promotion. Bitsack began his relationship with the firm as a freelancer, and will now head the development of LHA's broadcast advertising and on-air promotion campaigns.
Prior to joining LHA, Bitsack worked at Weiden and Kennedy and Cliff Freeman and Partners among others.

Tom Meyer has joined David-Brown Entertainment as director of entertainment marketing.
In his new position, Meyer will be responsible for developing entertainment promotional programs for DBE corporate clients such as Blockbuster, Sprint and American Express.
Previously, Meyer spent five years with Paramount Pictures as manager, worldwide marketing partnerships.
